Marking an important milestone when it was first held in Ho Chi Minh City in 2018, the competition has become a launching pad for creative tourism ideas, contributing to promoting the tourism startup ecosystem and innovation. Opening up opportunities for the tourism industry to receive breakthrough ideas, combining with leading businesses to incubate breakthrough tourism projects and products in the future.
The competition welcomes tourism start-up projects nationwide, selecting creative ideas on solutions, products, and technologies, in line with the tourism development orientation of Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, with a special focus on exploiting regional connectivity values.
This year, the playground is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta and the companionship of FUNDGO Creative Startup Investment Fund, the competition promises to open up new opportunities for potential tourism startup projects.
CONTEST DETAILS
– Time to receive documents: From date 16/4/2024 arrive 30/6/2024
– Preliminary round: From 01/07 to 10/07/2024
(The Organizing Committee will select the 40 best projects according to the selection criteria to enter the next round)
– Competition Round: Expected to take place on July 18, 2024 at FUNDGO Building, No. 81, Nguyen Hien, Residential Area 91b, An Khanh, Ninh Kieu, Can Tho City
(The competition results will be announced on July 28, 2024, and the 10 best projects will be selected to continue into the fundraising program).
– Training program: From 28/07/2024 to 30/09/2024
(The Organizing Committee will create conditions for projects to be trained and educated to complete the project to enter the capital calling round).
– Fundraising Round: Expected to be held on October 10, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City, where selected projects will present and convince investors to invest in the project.
Winning projects will receive a souvenir cup, certificate, and many other attractive values:
First Prize worth 40,000,000 VND
Second prize worth 30,000,000 VND
Third Prize worth 20,000,000 VND
Consolation Prize worth 10,000,000 VND
Sub-awards for outstanding projects in terms of criteria:
+ Project with the best technology application
+ Most creative project
+ Community contribution project
The winning projects will enjoy many incentives, including the opportunity to participate in international training programs and receive investment and sponsorship from investors. In particular, they will receive an incubation package worth 80 million VND from the Ho Chi Minh City Science and Technology Development Fund, implemented by the Department of Science and Technology in coordination with the City Department of Tourism.
