UED & FUNDGO: Awarding a "Personal Financial Management" training package to students.

23/02/2026

After the Lunar New Year holiday, many students find themselves with dwindling funds and begin to seriously consider how to manage their spending. However, personal financial management is not just a post-holiday challenge; it's a fundamental skill that needs to be developed early on.

Understanding this need, the IESC Center – Faculty of Education, University of Da Nang, in collaboration with Fundgo Da Nang, is implementing an online training program: “"Personal financial management for students"”

This is not simply a short-term skills course, but a comprehensive program designed to help students develop a sustainable financial mindset, manage cash flow, and build long-term financial plans while still in university.

Program information

  • Expected dates: Late February and throughout March 2026 (after the Lunar New Year)
  • Format: 100% online
  • Duration: 2 online sessions per course
  • Training value: 1,000,000 VND/student
  • Tuition fee (in cash): 0 VND

The program is open to all students who register before March 7, 2026.

Scholarship and program participation mechanisms

The program adopts a financial aid model that encourages student initiative and contribution rather than collecting tuition fees in cash.

  • Training value: The course is valued at approximately 1,000,000 VND per student.
  • Cash tuition fees: 0 VND – Completely free for students of the University of Education & University of Da Nang.
  • The mechanism of value compensation: Instead of paying tuition fees, students will "offset" the value of the course by accumulating working hours through participation in activities, events, and projects co-organized by IESC and Fundgo in the future.

This mechanism helps students:

  • Access quality training programs without financial pressure.
  • Enhance hands-on experience, expand networking opportunities.
  • Fostering a sense of responsibility and commitment to the program.

This model combines training and practice, aiming to develop comprehensive competencies rather than simply imparting theoretical knowledge.

Training content (100% Online)

Session 1: Money Mindset and Cash Flow Management

  • Students are guided to apply the 50-30-20 rule, build a realistic personal budget, and establish a suitable contingency fund.

Session 2: Financial Planning and Personal Financial Protection

  • The content focuses on the principle of compound interest, building a financial plan based on 1-3-5 year milestones, and identifying common financial risks in the digital environment.

Note: The number of participants per training session is limited to ensure quality implementation.
