Recently, FundGo Creative Startup Investment Fund has cooperated with the project Hesman Legend implementing the Gift Giving Program during the Month of Action for Children. The gift giving ceremony was held at Sao Mai Kindergarten in De Xu Phinh Commune, Mu Cang Chai District, Yen Bai Province.
This program was organized with the aim of spreading healthy cultural values to children in De Xu Phinh commune and at the same time creating a happy and warm atmosphere for them before the summer vacation. At the program, the organizers presented gifts including candy, Hesman Hero comics and many other Vietnamese comics to the children. The children are all primary school students with difficult family circumstances, most of them have to help their parents with farm work after school.
Reading comics is a simple dream for every child, but for the children of De Xu Phinh commune, that dream is not easy to achieve. Because the commune does not have a diverse and rich source of comics like in big cities and because of difficult family economic conditions, most children have to borrow comics from friends or from the school library. However, when the library is closed during the summer vacation, accessing comics becomes even more difficult for the children.
Mr. Xua, Deputy Secretary of the Commune Youth Union of De Xu Phinh Commune, shared: “Children in the highlands love reading comics. However, the number of comics in the locality is still small and not popular, so they have not read many. They often read books from the school library or buy them at bookstores and grocery stores. However, the number of book titles is still small and there are not many good stories.”
At the gift-giving ceremony, the children could not hide their joy and happiness when holding the heavy gifts in their hands. Their faces showed their excitement when opening the gifts because in addition to candy, they also received comic books with beautiful pictures.
Mr. Xua also expressed that the Gift Giving Program organized by the Hesman Legend project and FundGo was a meaningful event. De Xu Phinh Commune is currently planning to open a library to create a space for children to read and study. He also hopes that there will be more similar programs to contribute to diversifying book sources and building libraries for local children.
The gift giving program on the occasion of the Month of Action for Children, which FundGo coordinated with the Hesman Legend project, is one of the meaningful and humane activities that the Fund has ever carried out. Not stopping there, FundGo will continue to sponsor and accompany programs aimed at community benefits in the future.
