Can Tho and Mekong Delta provinces e-commerce connection conference 2022 - Promoting regional connectivity and e-commerce development for the Mekong Delta

On September 9 and 10, 2022, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City, organized the "Can Tho and Mekong Delta Provinces E-commerce Connection Conference" in 2022 with the theme of Promoting modern distribution methods and consumer orientation on e-commerce. The conference took place successfully at Muong Thanh Luxury Hotel, Can Tho City.

The event attracted a large number of guests and speakers from units and businesses inside and outside Can Tho city.

The event is a practical activity, aiming to help units and enterprises take advantage of e-commerce to develop business in a modern direction, promote products, connect partners and potential customers as well as create conditions for exchange, support production and business for cooperatives, craft villages, production facilities of OCOP products, rural industrial products, etc. in the provinces and cities in the region.

The conference was attended by leaders of Can Tho city, departments, branches, agencies, units, People's Committees of districts in the city; enterprises, cooperatives, business establishments, Youth Union, students starting a business from colleges and universities, members of the Women's Union, Farmers' Association of Can Tho city, enterprises of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region, etc.

Mr. Ha Vu Son, Director of Can Tho Department of Industry and Trade delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

The conference took place with many activities such as connecting e-commerce for businesses, production facilities, and cooperatives with major e-commerce platforms in Vietnam, focusing on training businesses through instructions on how to register booths, sell products, post products for sale, manage orders, develop brands for local products, OCOP products, typical local rural industrial products as well as providing related solutions such as digital finance, digital business management, traceability of goods, etc.

Within the framework of the Conference, participating business delegations organized product displays, contributing to promoting, connecting and boosting product consumption.
