“Jewelry Store 4.0” – HanaGold is the first project to apply blockchain technology to the jewelry industry in Vietnam. The unique feature of this business model comes from allowing users to buy jewelry in the form of “installments” and accumulate online, then receive the product directly at the store in the system when the full payment has been made. The project also emphasizes the value of protecting and exploiting intellectual property rights by focusing on trading in jewelry with copyrighted designs, while launching unique NFT collections. 

HanaGold is one of the first projects that FundGo has invested in since its inception. At the Fund's launch ceremony on March 21, the representative of the first innovative startup investment fund in the Mekong Delta signed an investment of 250,000 USD for the project to develop a comprehensive supply chain from design, manufacturing to distribution, while building a diverse e-commerce ecosystem. According to FundGo representative Eric Vuong, the Fund chose HanaGold with the expectation that the project could create a big change for the jewelry industry through the integration of technology - the Fund's leading standard in the process of appraising projects for investment.

Recently, the project representative, CEO Hana Ngo, attracted attention when participating in Shark Tank season 5. According to the young girl, what she hopes to receive from the Sharks is not only an investment of 200,000 USD for 10% shares of HanaGold as shared in the program, but most importantly, the long-term support and companionship of leading financial and investment experts to perfect her model. 

After the first episode of Shark Tank aired, many viewers and investors learned about HanaGold and asked many questions about the feasibility of the project. Through the website and media channels, the project team is gradually answering the questions raised by the Sharks in the program, thereby strengthening investors' confidence in the legality as well as the operating process and safety of the system. Although she has not convinced the judges to choose her model, the businesswoman is still very optimistic and shares: "I may not have been successful at Shark Tank, but what HanaGold has done in the past has demonstrated the determination and strength of the project. We will continue to gradually establish our position in the near future."

 CEO Hana Ngo made an impression as soon as he appeared by "generously" giving each Shark a 1-tael gold coin with the HanaGold brand.

The confidence of the HanaGold team has successfully attracted an additional 250,000 USD as development resources after FundGo announced to increase the investment level to 500,000 USD and will gradually disburse according to each development stage of the project. “We assess that HanaGold will receive strong support from consumers and soon explode, becoming the leading jewelry brand in Vietnam. The decision to increase the investment value not only demonstrates FundGo's confidence in the project but also reaffirms the Fund's goal of promoting innovation and applying technology to build a digital economy according to the Government's direction", quoted Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Director of TRUSTpay Joint Stock Company, the unit managing FundGo.

According to the World Bank, Vietnam's GDP per capita increased by 2% in 2020, ranking 13th in growth rate compared to all countries with collected data and being one of the few countries to achieve positive growth rate in the same period. This is an impressive figure despite the pandemic, demonstrating the outstanding potential of the economy. The demand for luxury goods and services of Vietnamese consumers is increasing, not only to affirm their self-worth but also to satisfy their passion. HanaGold's products mainly focus on the young customer segment with trendy jewelry designs and sophisticated gold art models, suitable for consumers' desire to beautify and save. The HanaGold project could be a breakthrough for jewelry enthusiasts to easily access their favorite products, while opening up a new direction for the jewelry industry in the 4.0 era.

Speaking about the news of FundGo's increased investment, CEO Hana Ngo expressed her gratitude to the Fund for accompanying and placing her trust in the project. She also revealed that the team is implementing a plan to expand the production workshops and add more modern machinery, preparing to launch a number of new collections with diverse and eye-catching designs. The project is also deploying a major update to the HanaGold application with many new features, bringing a smoother and more convenient experience to users.
