Techfest Vietnam 2022: FUNDGO Signed Cooperation Agreements with 8 Technology Villages, Marking a New Milestone in the Journey to Promote the National Startup Ecosystem

From December 2 to 4, 2022, The National Innovative Entrepreneurship Day (Techfest Vietnam 2022) took place successfully at the Convention and Exhibition Center of Binh Duong province. With the theme "Open Innovation Ecosystem - The Next Big Think", Techfest 2022 welcomed representatives of ministries, agencies, departments, and the Vietnamese startup community.

The program was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with other institutions to create a useful and meaningful playground for innovative startups. This year, Techfest is honored to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat; Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province Vo Van Minh; representatives of the Central Government, provinces and cities; universities, research institutes, large enterprises and especially domestic and international leading experts.

Compared to previous years, Techfest Vietnam 2022 has expanded in scale and drawn more participants, especially businesses. Specifically, there were 30 conferences and seminars on technology trends, investment connections, experience sharing in developing innovative startup ecosystems, and lessons on model transformation for post-pandemic adaptation and recovery. At the same time, the program also launched an exhibition with more than 250 booths of innovative startup products and services, of which 70% were products and models of startup companies, 20% were new products of potential businesses, and the rest 10% were products of science and technology enterprises.

With the theme “Open Innovation Ecosystem – The Next Big Think”, Techfest aspires to encourage and raise the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship to all walks of life as well as seek innovative solutions from startups. Particularly, the event aims to solve problems related to training and fostering human resources to meet the market demand, settling employment, recovering the post-pandemic economy, and applying technology to manage post-COVID-19 difficulties, thereby creating good values for future generations.

Within the framework of the event, FUNDGO Startup and Innovation Fund signed cooperation agreements with eight technology villages, marking a milestone in connecting and accompanying Fintech Village to support and promote national innovative startup activities. With the participation of domestic and international entrepreneurs, speakers, investors, and investment funds, the signing between the organizations promises to build a sustainable technology community in Vietnam's startup environment.

Projects and enterprises from the Fund’s ecosystem participated in exhibitions at Techfest 2022 to display their products and scientific and technical advancements for visitors to explore. Booths of Run Together, Hesman Legend, and HanaGold projects have received special attention from leaders of ministries and sectors. In particular, Mr.Tran Van Tung, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, visited these booths and expressed interest in innovative products from the projects. Besides, HanaGold and Hesman Legend have affirmed their potential and innovative spirit when they excelled in the Top 20 at Techfest 2022.

Techfest Vietnam 2022 has ended after three exciting days with many meaningful activities. The event’s success is a predicate to create new opportunities for the innovative startup ecosystem, and support the rapid and sustainable development of the nation's digital transformation.
